Covid-19 Response

To our dear MATW Community, Assalamu Alaikom Wa Rahmatu Allahu Wa Barakatuh, At MATW, the wellbeing of our global community is our number one concern. As we closely monitor the COVID-19 situation worldwide, I wanted to send you a note of comfort and positivity on behalf of the MATW team. As someone who was with Ali Banat during the last stages of his life, I know too well the feelings of anxiousness and uncertainty many of you are going through. It is in these times that we must put our Iman in Allah SWT and have faith in his plans. The only way to get through the test of this dunya, is by solidifying our trust in Islam and the ummah. This is what Ali Banat taught us. I also wanted to reassure you that we have medical staff on site doing everything they can to protect MATW centres from the threat of COVID-19. We are working closely with local governments and following guidelines from the World Health Organisation to ensure the safety of our orphans, widows and communities. We will be equipping doctors and nurses with lifesaving medical resources, as well as providing sanitary supplies including hand sanitiser, gloves, face masks and other necessities. Most importantly, we will be empowering all those connected to our centres with hygiene techniques to limit the spread of the virus. You will be able to support this cause and we will send you updates shortly. Remember, we can do this together. Your support will protect thousands of lives and help continue to keep Ali’s legacy alive. I ask Allah SWT to alleviate all this suffering and grant all of you peace, safety and health.
